Using triangulation to identify word senses

Abstract

This work presents a method of coalescing the word senses from multiple dictionaries using the Internet, clustering and triangulation. The process produces topic signatures as a natural bi-product. The topic signatures are compared to those of other methods, such as those used for word sense disambiguation.
