PENGARUH KONSENTRASI PELARUT TERHADAP AKTIVITAS ANTIOKSIDAN PEGAGAN (Centella asiatica (L) Urban) YANG DIEKSTRAKSI DENGAN METODE MAE

Abstract

Pegagan (Centella asiatica (L) Urban) has active components such as triterpenoids and saponins such as madecasoside, asiaticosides, polyphenols, tannins, vitamin C and beta-carotene. This study aims to prove the effect of variations in solvent concentration on the antioxidant activity of gotu kola ( C. asiatica ) extract using the DPPH method extracted using the MAE method. The process of making gotu kola extract was carried out using MAE method. The solvent used was ethanol with concentrations of 60%, 70%, 80%, 90% and 96%. The results showed that phytochemical screening of gotu kola extract had alkaloids, steroids, saponins, tannins, while flavoid compounds were found in the extract with a solvent concentration of 96% using the MAE method.
