Abstract

Replacement of ageing process technologies is an ongoing requirement for manufacturing businesses, raising the opportunity to outsource old technologies for an interim period. A structured approach to this traditional problem is given, utilising a new make or buy framework and methodology, with a case example from the domestic appliance industry.
