Abstract
Advanced technologies and versatile medical instruments are used to diagnose diseases accurately but these are limited to hospitals and clinics, also cost an individual huge amount of money. People prone to cardiovascular diseases, in emergency case such as cardiac arrest and those who need 24-hour monitoring have to access those diagnosis tools frequently is practically bothersome. So, an easy, inexpensive continuous heart rate monitoring mobile device must be introduced. This research study highlights on measuring heart rate information with Arduino Uno and pulse sensor and sending the processed data to a remote location via Global System for Mobile (GSM) communication module and ESP8266 wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi) module. A detailed comparison is made between the two devices in terms of speed, performance and cost.
