Abstract

This paper proposes a novel skewed-beam compensation algorithm for a full digital phased array antenna. When a full digital phased array antenna, which is tilted up-or down-ward, radiates a steered horizontal fan beam, the fan beam becomes skewed and needs to be compensated. The simulation results drawn by the compensation algorithm are presented for an arbitrary antenna shape that generates a horizontal fan beam pattern.
