Abstract
People with dementia require help devices to handle their medications due to their forgetfulness. In this research, we suggest a smart medicine reminder method that enables persons with memory impairments to take their medications without interruption. Our innovation, unlike other pill dispensers, not only reminds patients when to take their medicine, but also allows them to set their medicine intake timing based on their doctor’s recommendation. By employing the scheduling flexibility provided by prescription guidelines, the device makes the user’s medication schedule easier to keep to and tolerates tardiness whenever possible. To accomplish this task, the medicine scheduler and dispenser controller collaborate in an action-oriented manner. This package incorporates a 4x4 matrix keypad, LCD display, Arduino, GSM module, Real Time Clock (RTC) module and an alarm system that alerts patients to take their medications on time. The experimental testing of the proposed prototype demonstrates that our system adequately tracks adherence to medication while also being extremely user friendly.
