Abstract
Scientific research is once again at a crossroads after centuries of efforts where the results have remained almost unknown to ordinary citizens. The Covid-19 pandemic has profoundly disrupted economic life as well as daily life without anyone becoming aware of the existence of these results and their usefulness. To cite but the case of environmental preservation, many results have been published on this subject, but deforestation keeps on scaling up in Madagascar. Such a reality challenges us by taking advantage of the knowledge and information revolution. The aim of this article is to demonstrate the effectiveness of scientific popularization in the fight against Covid-19. Using the method based on the New Information and Communication Technologies, the Teacher- Researchers of the Faculty of Sciences of Antananarivo proceeded to the dissemination of research activities on effective means of prevention against the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic. One of the digital communications generated 175 views in one week with 579 comments and 3,500 shares proving the palpability of the results and the effectiveness of research activities. This was a real opportunity for the Teacher-Researchers to promote the outcomes of their research while remaining close to ordinary citizens and ensuring their openness to the sustainable development of the community.
