Abstract

This paper presents a novel substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) slot base station antenna for 5G application at 28 GHz. In order to be robust against fading, polarization of the antenna is circular. The antenna includes a crossover slot SIW antenna with a cavity to increase gain and have a better axial ratio. One of the unique advantages of this antenna is covering the area with circularly polarization and adding one port to the antenna that causes to connect with more users at the same frequency. The antenna is simulated with two different methods and the results are verified.
