Sanitation is one of the important factor for good standard of life. The present study assessed the risk of acute diarrheal disease by conducting cross sectional survey in 290 households. The study subject was 0–12 years age group children, the information on socio-economic and sanitation condition were gathered from mother of the child. Based on the indicators the sanitation quality index was evaluated to study the sanitation condition of the household. The study showed that the education of mother and socio-economic status played a major role in the diarrheal prevalence. The results of this study clearly show that household socio-economic condition was closely related to the better sanitary conditions and water supply which are the significant determinants of diarrhea occurrence.
