Abstract

This paper describes how to analyze a fault of the YSI 600R temperature and salt sensor commonly used for observing marine hydrological elements in terms of measurement principle and technical index,power supply detection,communication cable inspection and signal transmission etc, identify the fault cause. In the fault analysis part, it focuses on how to test whether the output data of the sensor is normal through the communication connection between the self-made RS232 serial port debugging line and the temperature and salt sensor, and finally judge the fault point, and puts forward common solutions for the failure of this type of sensor in the future. It can be used for reference to deal with such faults in marine environment monitoring field.
