Abstract

In this paper a reconfigurable radiation pattern antenna presented to use for point-to-point communication base station systems. The technique is based on a fabry perot cavity with two surfaces; a partially reflective surface and a periodic Frequency selective surfaces are combined to create a switching behavior of the antenna design. The results are validated for the 5.6GHz frequency that can be in for 5G wireless communications technology.
