Abstract
This paper designed a finger physiotherapy device for flexion and adduction motion using voice command Android to control the device motion. The performances of the device are successfully implemented. In this device only focus on two motions; flexion and adduction. The motion instructions through the voice command on Android application or by push the button on the board if the Bluetooth connection have problem. MPX5050DP sensor is used to detect the flexor digitorum superficialis (FDS) muscles strength. The muscles strength will be converted into the graded muscle strength (GMS) 1 to 5 grade. The physiotherapy treatment must be done for eight training sets a day and each set consists of 8 times of single movement. The muscle strength for the finger paralysis participant in flexion motion has increased by 0.49 kPa of each training set and the GMS in grade 2 and 0.35 kPa for adduction motion. The total size of the proposed of finger physiotherapy device is 19 cm × 14 cm for length and width respectively and the total weight is 0.3 kg.
