Psychopolitical Foresensing for Social Transformation (PFST):

Abstract

Our goal is to develop a theory of change (ToC) that takes into account processes of psychopolitical wellbeing in order to raise the effectiveness of social transformation. Based on awareness-based system change (ABSC) theories, our model proposes the interconnection between individual and collective wellbeing starting with a cascading effect that occurs when high leaders from profit, nonprofit and government organizations are willing to apply their financial, political and social resources to commit to real change in the direction of SDG and ESG goals. The essay is structured as follows: first, we advance existing approaches of theories of change by introducing ASBC. Second, we propose psychopolitical wellbeing as an approach for bringing social and cultural transformation at scale. Finally, we present the initial parameters of our action research with Brazilian leaders.
