Abstract
The narrow band PSK system for the mobile radio having a small phase deviation angle has been proposed to suppress the spectrum energy spread over the transmission bandwidth. For the determination of the optimum transmission parameters in the narrow band PSK system, the transmission rate, number of phases, and phase deviation angles are changed. The bandwidth in the medium-wave frequency range must be kept within k7.5 kHz because the frequencies are allocated in 9 kHz spans. The experimental results provided the optimum parameters in the PSK system at medium frequencies. These were a transmission rate of 1,200 bps or 2,400 bps, a number of phases of 2
