POTENTIAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR INCREASING SECURITY CONNECTIVITY BETWEEN CICA MEMBER STATES

Abstract

In contemporary world achieving real progress in solving global and regional security problems without confidence-building measures and cooperation is an almost infeasible. In this regard, effective security architecture in Asia can only show its effectiveness with the joint efforts of all stakeholders. The article examines in detail the activities of the CICA in each individual region, as well as analyzes the possibilities of strengthening the connectivity between the members of the Forum. Besides, in order to further institutionalize and transform the CICA into a full-fledged organization, a number of ideas and proposals are presented that will give it a new impetus and relevance in the international arena.
