Abstract

This article focuses on the importance of research in teaching initiation, as well as its applicability and results. The objective is to point out the relevance of programs such as PIBID for students who wish to pursue a teaching career. Therefore, this work develops dialogues from the processes and products of a PIBID Subproject in Visual Arts at UFRGS, whose tasks were developed in articulation with a school located in Porto Alegre city (RS, Brazil). Thus, it is possible to understand the significance of programs that do not reach isolated results, given that its effects arise in the relationship between Higher Education and Basic Education Schools, and it involves not only students and university teachers but also the school community of Basic Education.
