The main goal of the paper is scientific-professional analysis and explanation of the problem of illegal occupation of land that is considered part of a protective forest, national park or other land with a special purpose, as well as construction without a building permit and its impact on tourism quality. The paper presents an analysis of the frequency of criminal offenses related to the observed phenomenon in the period from 2016 to 2020 in the territory of the Republic of Serbia. Abstract
