Abstract

The paper is concentrated on mathematical modeling of an emitted signal transformation to the signal which is similar to a real received signal. The hardware implementation of the simulation model for radar systems allows us to produce signals for checking of real radar systems. The most challenging problem is to develop real time simulator which allows us to obtain signals reflected from terrains of different types where parameters of signal are changeable. The material of this paper shows how this problem can be solved for radar altimeter with chirp frequency modulation. The methods, simulator scheme, and some model results are presented in this paper.
