Abstract

This paper considers a case of radar processing which requires highly-overlapped inverse DFTs. This case arises in burst-mode synthetic aperture radar (SAR), where the time-varying spectral properties of the received data requires that IDFTs be located at specific points in the spectral domain. The inverse moving Fourier transform is introduced, and it is shown how it can be more efficient than the FFT in this radar application.
