Abstract
A case report of a patient with lower lip T3N0 squamous cell carcinoma reconstructed by the Webster method plus bilateral staircase flap : Subtotal lower lip resection was performed and about 70 to 80% of lower lip defects were subsequently reconstructed by Webster’s method plus bilateral staircase flap in cases with T3NO squamous cell carcinoma. Post-operative function and aesthetic form were also satisfactory. Generally, in lower lip cancer, selection of the reconstruction method after resection depends on the extent and location of the defect. When the defect is more than two thirds and crosses the midline, our method is a useful and convenient technique for otolaryngologists and head and neck surgeons.
