One of the important chemical reactions is a chlorination reaction. CH4 + Cℓ2 → CH3Cℓ + HCℓ. This is being used to manufacture the halogenated hydrocarbon. HCℓ is one of the product species in the reaction. So, there is a possibility to apply the multiplex HCℓ CARS spectrum for temperature measurements in a chemical reactor.
