The goal of the contribution is therefore to find regions in Slovakia and Ukraine that have the possibilityto have mutually advantageous ways of cooperation. The selection of the regions results from the comparison ofEuropean Union (EU) Member State’s situations and not EU Member State situations. The situation in the regionsis compared according to the regional gross domestic product per capita, the unemployment rate in the region andthe average monthly wage of employees in the regions.
