IHI 2012 is the flagship conference of ACM SIGHIT concerned with the application of computer science principles, information science principles, information technology, and communication technology to address problems in healthcare, public health, everyday wellness as well as the related social and ethical issues. There were 321 submissions. 48 and 52 papers were accepted for oral presentations and poster presentations, respectively. There were also 2 keynote speeches, 4 panels, 3 tutorials, 1 extended poster session, and a doctoral consortium.
