Abstract

In this work the way to increase the security of fingerprints recognition is considered. We suggested the polarimetric technique to be used in recognition systems. The technique was tested on real and model objects. It was demonstrated that the proposed technique allows us to provide effective protection of the system from breaking. Experimental results argue for effectivity of polarimetric techniques against fingerprint spoofing in biometric recognition systems. Based on the polarimetric technique we made a design of polarimetric fiber sensor, which can be used in mobile systems.
