Modulation Parameters Analysis of Modern Communication Systems

Abstract

The article discusses the technologies and standards of modern communication systems in terms of transceiver devices structure from analog-to-digital conversion to a stream of symbol decisions at the demodulator output. Structural classification of wired/wireless networks, communication standards, types of signal modulation has been carried out. The features of the transceivers hardware implementation, transmission rates and operating conditions of communication channels has been also taken into account. As a result of the analysis, a set of modulation types has been determined, which are currently used in most communication channels, as well as the main parameters of its operation.
