With the development and rapidly popularity of the mobile communication technology, the usage and popularity of SMS are even more astonishing. How does the full effectively use of mobile communication technology to support teaching and learning are maked all types of mobile distance learning research into the center. The article discussed the characteristics of the distance learning and the working process and even the different parts of the function about the mobile distance learning based on the mobile short message platform, and also further discussed the influence and development prospect about the theory and practice of mobile distance learning based on the SMS.
