Abstract

We propose an improved image defogging algorithm based on Retinex, which consists of two parts: HSV color enhancement and RGB space detail enhancement. Through the single-scale Retinex algorithm to enhance the brightness component, in HSV space to introduce enhanced adjustment factor, to avoid color distortion and noise amplification, to achieve the effect of color enhancement. In the RGB space, based on the single-scale Retinex algorithm, the Gaussian filter is replaced by a Butterworth filter for detail enhancement to achieve better results. Finally, the two images are fused to make up for the loss of detail and color distortion of Retinex algorithm.
