Abstract

Poor air temperature in modern power plants is one of the main reasons for the increase in unit temperature and the deterioration of boiler performance. The main problem of the air preheater is the leakage of air on the side of the gas flue and thus lead to improper thermal performance. Thehigh ash content in Indian coal also adds to the problems associated with air tube heating.
