Abstract

An approach for calibration and validation of gas sensor systems for odor monitoring based on the draft of a standard is presented, including its limits and restrictions identified within the conducted measurements. Sensor systems were set up at or close to odor intense plants and trained with diluted samples of the target odor. Three such calibration campaigns were conducted. The models built with the data of at least the first campaign were investigated regarding their ability to interpret data of other campaigns and of field inspection data. The results highlight starting points for further investigations.
