A joint beam-forming algorithm which can be used to transmit and receive radar and communication signals at the same time is proposed to solve this problem. In this approach, the power for the radar and communication are optimally allocated under the signal-to-interference-plus-noise-ratio (SINR) constraint of communication firstly. Then combined with the linearly constrained minimum variance (LCMV) algorithm, the joint beam-forming is optimized using Lagrange multiplier method.
