Abstract

Inductor is one of the important parts of switching power supply. Planar inductors have the advantages of small volume, low loss, small magnetic flux leakage, good thermal characteristics and electromagnetic compatibility, which can achieve high efficiency and high power density of high-frequency switching power supply. The extraction of inductor parameters is of great help to the design of inductors, the simulation of converters and the research of electromagnetic interference. In this paper, the analytical model and the calculation of the lumped parameters of planar inductors with magnetic core are discussed. A 3D finite element model is established to extract the parameters of the planar inductor by ANSYS software.
