Analysis of the Development of Socio-Cultural Potential of Ukraine with the Application of the Apparatus of Fuzzy Logic

Abstract

Based on the calculation of the indicator “Level of socio-cultural potential development the article analyses the trends of this potential development in Ukraine over the last nine years. The theory of fuzzy sets was used as a research method. Many primary indicators have been formed which determine the socio-cultural potential of the region or country as a whole and determine their significance. The operations of fuzzyfication of the variables were performed, the calculations were realized and the operation of the defuzzification of these variables was accomplished. Moreover, to find the value of the resultant integral indicator of the level of development of this potential, we use an approximate algorithm of calculations. The results of the calculations showed that the state of socio-cultural potential of Ukraine improved by 2013. A sharp deterioration of this situation occurred in 2014. Since 2015, the state of this potential has improved once again annually.
