Today, many Circassians prefer to live in the countries where they were born, even though there are little groups went back to the Caucasus. Although Circassian societies leaving the Caucasus have adapted to the languages and cultures of the countries they are in, they have preserved their cultures at the minimum level. When the subject is taken into consideration in the context of Turkey, the following situation arises. Circassians living in Turkey have lost their language severely. This loss is very advanced, especially in those younger than twenty. This study focuses on the short history of the Circassians of Turkey and—as a general category– their integration into society.
