Abstract

BOM-based extensible component M&S has greatly improved reusability and interoperability at the level of simulation models. As atom component model is the fundamental part of the BOM model, the development of atom component model is a key point in the development of BOM-based HLA simulation system. After the discussion of the features atomic components may have and the process of the development of atomic component, some modules are designed for the modeling environment of atomic component. And finally a tool is implemented according to the analysis and design, which has been proved by several projects to be efficient, less time cost and apparent for modelers.
