The data on the level of interrelation of personal characteris-tics of future specialists and the formation of professional commitment and self-identification are presented. The presence of a connection is analyzed at the stage of the-oretical training. The tightness of the con-nection was analyzed using the Pearson correlation coefficient. The influence of the leading motives in professional self-determination on the success of entering the specialty is proved. There is a confirmation of a noticeable connection between the methods of coping with problematic and stressful situations and the level of profes-sional identity achieved.
