Of partcular interest were also the opinions or actons of the leaders and officials of these states in relaton to the problem. However, they are very restrained and are represented in the media in an extremely limited volume. However, some artcles contain direct statements by officials of Saudi Ara‑ bia and the United Arab Emirates in this connecton. Saudi Arabia and the UAE are the two largest economies in the Arab world. In additon, these two Arab states, in essence, act (in accordance with their existng capacites to increase oil producton), the so‑called «closing», that is, determining, oil suppliers to the world market and have an almost decisive impact on the state of the oil market and the volume of supplies.
