Abstract

The equivalent circuit model is an effective tool in the research of 3-phase induction motor. It can convert the complex electromagnetic phenomena into circuit ones and enable the study of motor control and operation to be processed with circuit theory and circuit analysis tools. Obviously, to achieve precise control of the induction motor, it is necessary to use the precise circuit parameters, and master how parameters change with voltage, current and frequency of the motor. Based on the equivalent circuit model with parallel excitation branch considering iron loss, the measurement methods to obtain the precise parameters are introduced and analyzed in the paper. The results show clearly the reasonable ways to get the precise motor parameters, which is significant to the R&D on high performance induction motor control and application.
