Abstract
This paper presents a technique for considerably reducing the required time steps of time-domain field simulations using modern digital signal processing techniques. The procedure leads to a simple model of the investigated structure in form of a digital filter which is suitable for further circuit simulations. As an example the method is applied to a FDTD simulation of a coplanar band-reject filter.
