Abstract

UL and IEC have different definitions and standards for switchboards, switchgear, panelboards and MCCs. Hence the design architecture and production of such systems are different from scratch, but there is a possibility of making one common LV Switchboard to comply with all the different standards of UL and IEC. This paper studies differences between such IEC and UL standards and proposes a common design for LV Switchboard which can comply with all of these standards.
