The experimental result revealed that the system was able to detect and display the distance between vehicles correctly and accurately, as well as to signal a proximity alarm if the vehicle is approaching a hazardous distance that may cause an accident. Moreover, the researchers found that brightness and the distance of the camera affect the quality of the data processing.
