Abstract

Recent cosmic microwave background data favours a blueshifted primeval perturbation spectrum with an index n > 1, which implies that the equation of state of dominant matter should be such that (cid:26) + p < 0 during the in(cid:13)ationary expansion of the early universe. We study the quantum Yang{Mills condensate in(cid:13)ationary model and (cid:12)nd that this requirement can be satis(cid:12)ed by the e(cid:11)ective quantum Yang{Mills condensate naturally in the states with the negative dielectric constant.
