Abstract

As 3D software, Maya is always said to be weak and hard to handle in 2D rendering and meticulous painting. For "The Beauty," the production team explored Maya's potential for representing old Chinese-style painting and murals, including delicate characters, majestic palace scenes, thousands of soldiers fighting in a battlefield full of smoke and fire, and dancers with long, flowing silk inner sleeves.
