Hence, determining optimal scheduling of SR for microgrid operation under contingency condition is one of the most important aspects of microgrid operation under contingency events. This paper proposes an economic dispatch optimization algorithm to find optimal scheduling of spinning reserves in islanded microgrid operation under both normal and contingency conditions. The seasonal variation of net load is considered in this study. The problem is formulated as a Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP) problem and carried out using CPLEX software. Abstract
