Abstract

Lekhniskii theory is extended to the researches on one-dimensional piezoelectric quasicrystals. Considering the quasicrystals with a single crack subjected to uniform loads at infinity, the field intensity factors and strain energy release rate are obtained. The weight function is derived when the point forces are applied near the crack tip. The field intensity factors of piezoelectric quasicrystals subjected to the point force or point charge are obtained, and the influences of material constants on the field intensity factors are analyzed.
