Abstract

This paper proposes an online parameter estimation method for a series-series tuned inductive power transfer (SS-IPT) system. The reactance of the receiver coil and the equivalent load resistance are estimated using the proposed parameter observers. The transfer functions of the observers are derived, and the controller gains are selected to achieve a 500 Hz estimation bandwidth.
