Abstract

The bandwidth of one segment ISDB-T is much narrower than the 13 segments ISDB-T and it is more severely affected by frequency dip affected by multi-path than the 13 segments ISDB-T. Although diversity techniques are effective scheme to improve reception characteristics under multi-path channels, the geometrically small size of one segment ISDB-T receivers restricts diversity gain under insufficient level. In order to improve this problem, cooperative reception between several receivers using a dedicated communication network is effective. In this paper, an efficient scheme of cooperative reception is proposed.
