Abstract
The subject of the work is the literary beginnings of Anđelko Krstić’s. Anđelko Krstić’s literary beginnings are first and foremost closely related to the magazine Srpski književni glasnik, specifically the first series of Srpski književni glasnik. Although he published his first works in numerous magazines and newspapers, our attention is focused first on the Carigradski glasnik, and then we focus on the period when Anđelko Krstić asserted himself as a writer, more precisely when literary criticism recognized the value of his work, which happens in moments when Krstić publishes his four short stories in Srpski književni glasnik: Večito dužni (1911), Seoski pismonoša (1912), Pečalbarova žena (1913), Pokojni Alija, lular (1914). In this paper, we first try to highlight the importance of the Carigradski glasnik, and then the Srpski književni glasnik for Anđelko Krstić, especially analyzing his four short stories published in this magazine of Serbian modernity.
