Microwaves generated by a laser induced, pulsed, picosecond, E-M source (LIPPES)

Abstract

Two configurations of photoconductive source/antenna activated by short duration laser pulses are described. The nonlinear characteristics of the radiated fields as well as the dielectric nature of the individual elements suggest that a non-interactive 3-D array can be constructed with the designs described.
