Abstract

In this paper, a 5G dual-band multiple-input multi-ple-output (MIMO) antenna array based on the pattern phase diversity technology is proposed. Total area of the antenna array is only about 32% of a normal mobile phone (150 x 70 mm2). From the simulation results, we can see that the antenna array achieves S11 < -6 dB at 3.245-3.85 GHz and 4.67-5.14 GHz. Besides, the isolation between all ports is more than 20 dB, and the envelope correlation coefficients are less than 0.12 and 0.03 in 3.4-3.6 GHz and 4.8-5.0 GHz, respectively.
