Abstract

A novel leaf shaped monopole antenna with ground slit is proposed. The leaf shaped antenna consists of three ellipses with CPW feeding to operate 3 to 9.5 GHz band; the ground slit have one fourth arc shape to improve 10 GHz band impedance matching. The antenna is small in size with dimension of 25 by 21 mm. The simulated results show that the gain is over 1 dBi and has an omnidirectional radiation patterns in the whole band.
